The Intermatic Death Curse
Like several other reviewers' units, mine worked fine for a couple of years, then just died. The numbers kept ticking, but the on/off just stopped functioning. Same fate as two earlier models of Intermatic built-in wall-switch timers. My advice - divide the product price by 18 to 24 months to get your per-month cost. If it seems steep, try another brand.

Excellent energy saver
Easy to setup and use compared to the electromechanical timers. And, is heavy duty as advertised. How heavy duty? I had 3 1500w appliances on one circuit, breaker tripped, but the timer (with battery backup) didn't fry.

Excellent low power solution for a nightlight
Normal nightlights draw more on the order of 5W however, these very bright LED lights only draw 0.6W per light. You can choose between seven colors for every single light, or have them cycle between colors. In addition, you can also select the actual brightness of the light.

I bought several packs and have lights in every single room. It provides a very nice ambiance as well as being able to find your way through the house at night without disturbing anyone, and with a very low environmental/energy bill impact.

changes diffrent colors doesnt take much power when its on.. it turns it self on when it gets dark.. what more can i say its a better then a normal nightlight.

Note on candle quality: Know what you're buying. Not all LED candles flicker (like those sold in closeout stores and dollar stores.) If having a realistic candle effect is important, make sure you buy "flickering" candles such as these. When you need to replace the CR2032 batteries, avoid spending $9 per battery in your local hardware or convenience store.
