Description is deceiving....
Since it is advertised as "a child's first nativity", I ordered it for my 2 1/2 yr old, who is learning about the real reason for Christmas and is fascinated by my ceramic Nativity set. However, when I received it, the box states not a toy, not for children under 5. Also, what really perterbed my was that it was touted as being hand-carved - well its hand-crafted in China! Given the history with toys made in China, I'm not convinced that lead-free paint was used, as also advertised. Its an adorable set, but I wouldn't recommend it or buy it again.

Delightful!
This arrived today and I am very pleased with it. The colors are vivid and there are plenty of pieces. It makes a nice-sized Nativity scene: not too large and not too small.

I got this for a great price, which I'm very glad about. I really would not have wanted it at the full price. But it's near the end of the season and it was on sale through Amazon, a great opportunity.

This set actually looks better in person than the photos look. I think that is because there are a nice number of pieces that you can arrange attractively, but it's hard to photograph that group well.

One of the reviews here I noticed said the colors of the paint were dull. Mine is not that way at all. The painting is very attractive.

These pieces certainly appear safe for children. But I don't see any reason for it not being appealing to adults, too. I love the fact that it is made of wood.

Cute Music Box - Recommended
The "Matchbox Melodies, Jingle Bells" music box is very cute and has a very pretty sound.

Winding the music box is accomplished by sliding the "matchbox" open to the left (gently... read the instructions) and turning the key. The motion and music are activated by sliding open the "matchbox" to the right. When open, the song plays (an abbreviated version) as the motion turns the scene. The figures are plastic, but are fairly detailed and look very nice.

The body of the "matchbox" case is also mostly plastic so I am not sure how durable it will be in the long run, but with gentle use it should hold up well.

Overall a good value and a nice addition to our collection. Recommended!

A little Christmas Music
I ordered three of these as stocking stuffers - all different. They are simple to use and delighted my 7 year old daughters.

Graco Pack 'n Play Playard with Bassinet in Rise and Shine
This playard is going to be used for my new grandson as a bassinet and then bed. It is cute and easy to assemble. Ordering from Amazon. com is amazing - I saved money and it arrived in a couple of days. Sooner than promised actually.
