Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 5-Quart Dutch Oven with Loop Handles
Reviews : cast iron dutch oven
Only used it once so far......but it's a pot and works fine! I have other cast iron Lodge products and like them. They last forever and cook wonderfully on the outside BBQ.
Use it as an asian wok
My husband and I are cast iron lovers. We bought a Lodge frying pan a year ago and then decided to have a larger and deeper one, we use it as a wok, mostly stir fry, stew, as you can expect for any cast iron, it is not good for acid food (like tomato etc. the color will be darker). But it is good for everyday asian style cooking. It is heavy, yet sturdy. Easy to clean, just hot water will do. We have a set of stainless cookware, now we rarely use it anymore.

Black & Decker EHC650 3-Cup 2-Speed Food Chopper
Reviews : B & D chopper
Wish I had purchased this item years ago. My arthritis is getting worse and since it was recommended in Consumer Reports Magazine decided to give it a try. I found it works wonderfully for onions, bell peppers and garlic, I am forever chopping very small amounts can't believe the time I save and it is too EASY to use. Clean-up is very simple. I would recommend this item VERY highly and plan to purchase another for a gift.
Best chopper and easy clean up!
Ive had mine for 5 years or less and my mom and aunt have wanted it so bad! I bought both of them one this past christmas. It is so easy to use and the clean up is so simple. It is dishwasher safe so all you really have to do is wipe down the top after use, put the other parts in the dishwasher and your done. Easy storage being as it is so small and ther are so little parts. I do have to advise it only cuts small portions which is great if you are cooking for 1 or 2 people. I woud highly recommend this product!!

Oxo Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush
Reviews : This brush DOES IT ALL!
Oxo Good Grips Flexible Vegetable Brush
The bristles are *more* than firm enough and the brush itself is designed to facilitate ease of use when cleaning fruits or vegtables.
If we had one suggestion that would be followed, the brush would be just a little larger.
Reviewers who comment on the bristles being too soft must want or need a steel-wool pad instead!
oxo veggie brush plus
I bought this brush mainly to bring an order total up to enough to get free shipping. After I "peeled" some carrots with it, and decided that is was a really neat tool. After a few uses, I have begun to wonder if I even need a veggie peeler.
At Christmas, my daughter-in-law was doing some dishes (lovely girl) and she picked up my veggie brush and started to clean a griddle. I was concerned that she ruined my brush. But, not only was the brush fine, our Teflon coated Presto electric griddle was stain free.

Black & Decker CJ525 CitrusMate Plus Citrus Juicer
Reviews : Great little juicer!
Read reviews about this juicer and other more expensive brands. Most people seemed happy with this product so I followed suit. I love it! We have an orange tree that is so laden with fruit we have to beg people to take oranges from us. I've been juicing oranges with the CitrusMate for 2 months now, and so far no major problems. I regularly make 64 oz of juice at a time (about once a week), and the worst problem I've had is that sometimes I get carried away and press down too hard or the orange is a little deformed inside so the machine gets mad and I have to press the "reset" button at the outlet to get it going again.
If you know your own strength, remember to hold the lid on while pouring out the juice, and wash the juicer before the pulp dries, I see no reason why you won't be satisfied with this juicer.
This is my first juicer, but I sure hope it lasts because I am really happy with it.
Perfect for Citrus
I bought this juicer as a present for my 14 year old son. Two minutes after opening it, he was juicing oranges. It works best if you hold the fruit with your hand as opposed to using the cover. It is incredibly easy to use, very easy to clean, creates no mess, and creates a lot of juice.
I highly recommend it for juicing fruits such as oranges, lemons and grapefruits.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set
Reviews : Caution!
These are sure pretty to look at.
I never cook with high flames, like some do in my family. These are not for frying up potatoes, sausages, or scrambled eggs, either.
After purchasing these, I still went to Albertsons and bought that huge non-stick skillet for 16.00.
Operator Error not Cookware Error
I just received my set for Christmas so I haven't had it long. I've used a friends Quisinart many years ago and loved them! Have wanted a set since. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my own set and cooked in them right away, loved it! So easy to use.
I came on here to check out some of the reviews since I'm always curious as to what others have to say about certain products. The number one complaint has been burning and sticking, particularly with eggs. I went right back into the kitchen and cooked an egg to see what would happen...it came out perfect, I didn't have to use butter as some have mentioned...I used olive oil and water as I've always done
Perhaps I'm just lucky for having grown up on Amway pans, where I had to learn to cook properly (and clean right) so I wouldn't end up spend the rest of the day scrubbing them. And even then there was no guarantee. If you are one that doesn't like to cook or doesn't have a lot of experience or, are always in a hurry, these pans are not for you!!!
Like most pans you are not supposed to cook on high heat (even t-fal pans state this), there are very few cases in which you would. Not to mention you can't just walk away as if it's a microwave oven. I would venture to bet every person who complained about burning and sticking isn't much of a cook to begin with. No offense, but everyone I know who happens to be a decent cook and owns these types of pans do not have the issues as many of the complainers here.
As far as cleanup, I dunno, I have always soaked my pans right away while still warm off the stove, and then clean them up after dinner. With these pans I soak them in vinegar and hot water and wash them up with a soft washcloth. So far so good.
So what's the trick to frying your food? Let the pan warm up first on medium (yes this means waiting a few moments), when you feel warmth at the bottom of the pan, place a little oil in (it doesn't take a lot) roll the pan around to coat the entire bottom, and then throw your food in. You might have to turn the heat down a notch once the foods in. It should cook just fine as long as you are paying attention to it and not walking away.
As far as the functionality of the pans? If used correctly they cook evenly and beautifully, and clean up quite nice. They feel solid and of good quality, the handles stay cool and the lids tight. They have a modern but timeless look to them which I can appreciate as a designer. I'm sure I will have these for a very long time. I highly recommend these to anyone who actually enjoys cooking.

Vacu Vin 3-Piece Wine Saver Gift Pack, White
Reviews : Claims Are True
The Vacuum Wine Saver works as advertised in that it develops a vacuum over wine left in the bottle which "keeps" the wine and pulls the included stopper more deeply into the bottle. This vacuum is well maintained until you push the crown of the stopper horizontally which easily releases the vacuum and allows the bottle to be reopened. The only problem is the hand pump supplied to develop the vacuum. Pumping it the required number of strokes to make the whole thing work properly requires a good grip and good hand, wrist, and arm strength. If you are an older individual (like me) and have significant and painful hand and wrist arthritis (also like me) you may not be able to pump to a sufficient vacuum. Otherwise I love it.
good
It is better than putting a cork back in a bottle. It's so easy and so much cheaper than others on the market. It does require quite a few pulls till you hear the clicks but it doesn't require much effort.
I am sure if you are a wine conniseur doing more elabarate things may be better, but for a bottle of wine a week casual non expert like me it works quite well but I haven't tried it past a couple of days.
so if you want your bottle of wine to last a couple of days and you just take out a glass at a time this is perfect for you, well worth the little money it costs.
