VillaWare V3600-NS Prego Nonstick Pizzelle Baker
Reviews : Though there are many recipes for making pizzelles, this waffle-like cookie has fairly ancient origins and is served at most banquets and feasts throughout Italy. The name pizzelle comes from the Italian word "pizze" for round and flat. It has been called the oldest known cookie, and it's believed to have originated in the Abruzze area of Italy centuries ago. Some people say the pizzelle made its debut at the village of Colcullo, during the Festival of the Snakes, when villagers celebrated a divine intervention that helped them expel the serpents overrunning the town. Others say it started at the village of Salle, where pizzelles are still baked today to celebrate the feast of Beato Roberto, a twelfth-century monk.
This VillaWare Prego Pizzelle electric Pizelle iron bakes batter quickly and easily so you can enjoy this delicious cookie fresh, every day. It helps make each day a feast. And each day should be a celebration. Add this to your kitchen today! Automatic thermostat Steam guard to protect hands from steam 110 Volt AC power cord Chrome finish with black handles

Lodge Logic Pro 20-by-10-7/16-Inch Cast-Iron Grill/Griddle
Reviews : Doesn't heat evenly
This griddle does not heat evenly at all! I have tried using it twice and have given up, as I am tired of ruining perfectly good food. Both times I set the burners on medium-low heat and tried to make pancakes. If part of a pancake was over the burner and part of it was not, the part of the pancake that was over the burner would literally burn black and the other part would be raw. I thought that perhaps this was because I am using a flat-top electric range, but I read another review where someone complained of having the same problem with a gas range. I would really like to know the secret of all the people who are happy with this product, b/c I had such high hopes and am sorely disappointed! :(
Best Griddle/Grill Ever
I bought one of these a year ago and enjoy it so much that I bought another one for a friend. For the price, it's the best griddle/grill in my opinion. If you don't know how to take care of cast iron and aren't much of a cook, then you might be better off with some electric non-stick solution. Cast iron is favored by most cooks as it is non-stick, it browns the best, and it naturally imparts iron to your food & contributes to nutrition. Cast iron is very easy to care for, but it is also very easy to mess up. Just use a dedicated scrub brush that hasn't touched detergent, scrub under water, pat dry, & apply a thin coat of oil. It will last for years and become a family treasure. I recommend getting the grill press, too, for perfect breakfast meats, burgers, and other grill items like steaks. The griddle side makes perfect pancakes and eggs. The grill side isn't as good as a charcoal grill, but is great for when you are only cooking a couple things and don't want to deal with the grill. The grill side tends to take longer than anticipated. Also, when using either side you want to make sure it's been enough time for the metal to heat up evenly before cooking. I've even taken this grill/griddle camping and put it on the Coleman propane stove. If you like to cook, this is the griddle for you.

FoodSaver Continuous Roll Bag Material, 11 Inch by 18 Feet (2 Rolls)
Reviews : Cheaper and more convenient than the bags
We freeze a large amount of summer produce from our garden and from our CSA subscription. These rolls are the best way of doing that. Not inexpensive, but definitely cheaper than the individual bags and more convenient by being individually sizable.
Rolls save money - cut to size
I buy the rolls so I can cut them to any size I want without wasting the bag. If I want to freeze 2 chicken breast - no waste of bag, if I want to freeze 4 chicken breasts - cut to size. I love that I can stack the chicken in the freezer without it falling over. We just bought 30 lbs of chicken breasts - boneless at Albertsons because they were offering them at $1.97 lb. You can't let that get past with todays prices.

Pinzon Stainless-Steel Mandoline
Reviews : Not as expected.
Very nice peice if you want uniform hard veggie slices. I tested and saw 4 adjustable sizes, none of them are paper thin. The "wavy" slicer is cool if you want to make crudetts, or fry up "wavy lays pototo chips". I wanted the gaufrette option and the blades for this do not stand up to my expectations. For thin onion and potato slices fast in bulk this would be good, but if you already have a "slicer at work" forget about it. My knife skills are faster then using this except on potatoes, and onions. The construction of the "finger gaurd" is collapsable and make slicing harder. I give this 2.5 stars if you use w/out the gaurd and know when to slow down. A 4 if you just need to thin slice 1/8 inch scalloped potatoes or onions.
Get a knife...
Put what you'd spend on this thing towards a good knife or two. We had high hopes for it, but after slicing two cucumbers, the blade was noticeably dulled, requiring more effort to slice. This is extremely dangerous as most accidents in the kitchen are from people pushing dull blades through food and the blade slips and sinks into a finger. We went back to slicing cukes with a knife, which was faster. Giving it two stars only because it's decently sturdy. It's a shame that the blades won't last.

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron 8-Inch Skillet
Reviews : Not ideal...
I bought this with the idea of using it for frying an egg or two, since eggs stick to my stainless pans. If you have the same idea, don't buy this! Buy a teflon coated one instead. My old teflon pan was ideal for frying eggs; they slide right off. Since eggs stick, you will have to use a spatula to get the eggs out. But this skillet is too small and the sides too high to allow easy flipping with a spatula. And then the cleaning...this pan does not have a mirror surface, rather a porous one. Eggs get stuck in the pores and don't clean off easily.
perfect
Are you kidding - $13 for a skillet this great. I have always used "non stick" pans with a coating, but they always get scratched, can't take the heat, and after reading about the health concerns, I wanted to find something else. This pan is perfect. It holds heat so much better than the thin non-stick pans so the cooking process is much more consistant. Just finished making a steak, and my wife and I agreed that it is much better than the outdoor grill. Eggs are great too. Easy to clean, just a little hot water and a brush. Coat with a little oil when done and it is ready for the next use. It is even made in the USA!!!

Metrokane Rabbit Wine Opener Gift Set, Silver
Reviews : Great Product
We've used "The Rabbit" set for years and decided to share the gift with family this holiday. Definitely recommend this product. It's durable, easy to use and cool to pull out with company. For people who find it awkward to open wine bottles, this is the best gift ever.
Not the quality expected
Purchased as a gift for someone that used to own a Rabbit wine opener. Disappointed to find that this model is not near the quality of the one previously owned. This model feels very light/flimsy. Appears to work ok (however, not quite as well as the previous model), just concerned that it will not last very long.

Reviews : Zinnng!!
Ok,
Now I've found my favorite K-Cup. Such full body, no bitterness at all and every sip is a delight. Compared to this one my older favorites taste watered down.
Bold and flavorful
So far pleased with this k cup flavor. I have found that other k cup flavors can be a little weak, but not this one. I enjoy rich but not overly strong put hair on you chest coffee and this one is bold but a good bold.
