Lodge Max Temp Handle Mitt, Black
Reviews : Perfect!
These handle mitts work great! I can leave them on while I'm cooking on the stovetop and I can move the pots perfectly. And, if I am getting a pot from the oven, I slide it on prior to lifting; it works great! I tried the silicone ones, but didn't like them...they seemed to slip around the handles.
NOT too hot to handle...
I use this mitt on all my iron cookware and have not burned myself. The mitt slips easily onto the handle and allows me to remove cornbread from an iron skillet that baked in a 425 degree oven for 28 minutes. (The mitt is not placed in the oven while baking, only used to remove the skillet AFTER baking!)
When frying on top of the stove, you may keep the mitt on the handle just be careful not to allow the mitt to touch the pan itself as it may become too hot to handle, catch on fire, etc. Just use common sense!

Presto 6-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
Reviews : presto 6Q pressure cooker
It came in time. Hold the pressure wel;. It looked beautiful. The only draw back is not easy to clean and lost it's shinyness.
So clean and convenient
We bought this pressure cooker to replace a larger aluminum one we had before. It has proven to be of great use to my family. Not only is the size better since we don't have to make gallons of soup anymore, but it's so much easier to clean than the aluminum one, which took forever to clean after each use. Now it's just a little scrub and scrub the lid and the rubber seal and it's clean! The handles make it more comfortable and ergonomic than the last pressure cooker we had and make it easier to carry it back and forth when full. It's a great pressure cooker.

Oxo Good Grips Medium Cookie Scoop
Reviews : Works great ....
I just used the medium size Oxo cookie scoop to make 14 dozen cookies over a 3-day period. I had 4 different doughs: traditional chocolate chip, white-chocolate macadamia nut, chocolate chocolate chip, and cranberry walnut oatmeal. I used chilled dough, and this little scoop held up just fine.
The size is perfect: it makes beautiful uniform-size cookies (about 3" diameter for all but the oatmeal -- those ended up about 2.5"). I can also see using it to make meatballs.
I noticed a bit of "stickiness" in the mechanism, but I was using a very stiff dough. An extra "flick" of the handle and the cookie popped right out. Clean up is a breeze, too. Between dough types, I just used a paper towel to wipe the slightest bit of dough residue out of the scoop, and it was ready for the next variety.
My holiday visitors were so impressed by its performance that they ended up ordering one for themselves.
The perfect cookie scoop!
All these years I have made cookies with a spoon but no more. This is a thing of wonder! It works easily and cleanly and makes me want to make more cookies!!

Swissmar Borner V-Slicer Plus
Reviews : WORKS GREAT
I JUST BOUGHT THIS ONLY USED IT ONE TIME, BUT IT WORKED GREAT AND IF ALTON BROWN SAYS IT WILL DO THE JOB, YOU CAN BANK ON IT.
Very usable.
We use it on a weekly basis for slicing potatoes. It does a nice job, quickly and is easy to clean, but sometimes you have to force it a little to get hard things, like potatoes, through the blade. It made lovely, paper-thin slices for an apple tart. But it's useless for french fries if you like anything bigger than matchsticks--which even the "thick" side makes. Also, as it lays flat, you constantly have to remove the sliced food. Otherwise, it's great, very usable.
