Great value, suprisingly good knife
I didn't get these for the awesome gold box price of $59, I paid nearly twice that. However, I must say that they were a value even at the higher price. I had been using a similarly priced set, different brand, for approximately 10 years. When I received these, I was amazed at how much difference a well designed, sharp knife can make.

They are very sharp, the style is attractive, the built in sharpener is a great idea and the set contains virtually every variety of knife that you will need -- even a Sontuku and a serated bread knife.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the set and would not hesitate to purchase for any price less than $150.

P.S. I just received the Omaha Steaks, about 2 weeks after sending in the coupon. It would be hard to complain about free steaks and I haven't tasted them yet but I wouldn't say they are worth $85 based on volume. Either way, it's a nice added bonus.

WOW! THESE ARE SHARP
I bought these for $59.00 here on amazon and they are so good. The chefs knife cut thru raw steak like butter and the santoku knife is really great. These are better than the Rahcel Ray knifes I have bought in the past. If you want a set of knife that are sharp but cheap this is the set for you!!

This Wusthof Knife Life Sharpener is a two stage knife sharpener with a built-in scissors sharpener. The carbide side sets your knife's edge, while the ceramic side finishes the edge. The scissors sharpener will sharpen both blades for left- or right-handed scissors at the same time. The E-Z grip handle and non-slip rubber feet helps to keep the sharpener in place and safe to use. I wish I would have bought this years ago. Its FANTASTIC!
I have a high dollar set of Wusthoff Trident kitchen knives that I was always scared to run through a mechanical sharpener. After wasting many hours and dollars on trying to manually sharpen these using wetstones, Lansky sharpeners, etc. I was never able to get the edge like original. About 2 minutes on each knife through this sharpener restored the blades to like new. The sharpener doesnt get hot enough to damage the blade, and I didnt have any issues with sparks. Some reviews I read earlier complained about the wheels stopping and not having enough power. This is by design to prevent damage to your blades. I never had an issue with the wheels stopping. You would have to be heavy handed and not read the instructions to have a problem with this item. I love it. Best investment I made for my high dollar knives. I use the knives every day, so I need them sharp. I will probably buy another one for later use at my vacation home. GREAT PRODUCT!!! PLEASED CUSTOMER!!!

Was a little leary about this product but upon receipt and reading the directions carefully as previous reviewers had specified I am so happy with everything about it. To whomever said the motor kept stopping - it's in the directions - you're putting too much pressure on the knife - let the product do it's job!! Highly recommend this sharpener.

They are SO SO
These knives are so so. They are not good when it comes to dicing vegetables. Some of the knives are just not sharp thinking about returning them for another knife set.
