Twilight Soundtrack
Reviews : Twilight is an action packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan has always been a little bit different and when her mother sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen, a boy unlike any she's ever met. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Like all vampires, he's immortal. But he doesn't have fangs, and he doesn't drink human blood. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for: a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward and Bella do when James, Laurent and Victoria, the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her? This is the first movie from the book series from author Stephanie Meyer. The series are currently some of the most popular books written for young adults, with sales exceeding 50 million copies worldwide since the Twilight debut in 2004 and over 7.7 million copies sold in the U.S. alone. The fourth book in the series, Breaking Dawn, was released on August 2, 2008 and sold over 1.2 million units on the first day.

Day & Age
Reviews : Four years after the release of their landmark debut in 2004, MTV VMA Award-winning, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Island Records group The Killers have completed their fourth album - and first new studio album in two years - DAY & AGE, featuring the new single, "Human" debuting worldwide September 22nd, while the digital single will be released September 30th. The new album hits stores November 25th - two days before Thanksgiving.
DAY & AGE was produced by Stuart Price, a key figure in electronic music (Les Rhythmes Digitales) who previously worked with The Killers on "Don't Shoot Me Santa," their 2007 Christmas single; as well as music on their 2007 compilation, Sawdust. Over the past five years, Price has worked as a producer, mixer, programmer, and keyboardist, including The Killers' "Mr Brightside" remix which was Grammy Nominated.
The Killers - Brandon Flowers on vocals and keyboards, guitarist David Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer, and drummer Ronnie Vannucci - found time to complete their new album while also wrapping up their biggest summer rock festival season in the U.S. and abroad. Historic headlining gigs at England's prestigious Leeds and Reading fests coincided with an appearance on the cover of NME's August 8th issue. Earlier in 2008, the Killers took home top honors for Best Band of the Year and Best Track of the Year ("Tranquilize") at the annual NME Awards USA gala, at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on April 23rd.
DAY & AGE comes one year after the release of Sawdust (November 2007), a 17-song collection of previously unreleased session tracks, B-sides, rarities and one-offs. The album was assembled at a recording studio in New York's Hell's Kitchen, where the Killers worked with Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Lou Reed two recordings. Two singles and videos were issued: "Shadowplay" (from the motion picture soundtrack of Control, Anton Corbijn's biopic of Ian Curtis), and "Tranquilize".
The Killers' RIAA platinum second album Sam's Town (October 2006) debuted at #2 and spun off two hit singles: the #1 Modern Rock "When You Were Young," nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Short Form Music Video; and "Read My Mind," the band's first #1 at Triple-A. Their worldwide 5 million-selling debut Hot Fuss (June 2004) was the longest-running rock album inside the top 50 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for all of 2005, logging 94 weeks on the chart - 53 of those inside the Top 50. The album spun off four solid hit singles - the Grammy-nominated anthem, "Somebody Told Me," the VMA-winning (and Grammy-nominated) "Mr. Brightside," the Modern rock hit "Smile Like You Mean It," and the Grammy-nominated "All These Things That I've Done."

Viva La Vida
Reviews : Just One Good song in the whole album
Viva La Vida is the only good song. All the other songs are boring and sleepy and are lacking a good melody and a good beat. The bad songs just seem like filler material. Albums that have only one good song suck. I always feel ripped off by those. Also I don't like the death theme that's in a lot of the songs on this album. Death is scary and depressing. Who wants to think about that. There's too much negativity going around in society without adding more to it. This is a rather depressing album.
Alternative at it's best
Coldplay reminds of the Moody Blues back in the 70's but with today's technology and punk intertwined. The harmony and the instruments are artistic and refreshing. If you haven't listened to clips off this album you should.

We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things
Reviews : Simply Fantastic
To the guy that gave this one star and called it "homorific".......shame on you. You should have let your "better half" rate it. Seriously......what do you listen to? Metal? Figures.
This is one of the most thought provoking, emotional albums I have heard in a long time. It is a work of art. Bravo.....I had never heard of Jason Mraz until this album. He is simply fantastic..a true artist.
This will not be my last Jason Mraz album. I am very impressed with his work. I would give him 10 stars if I could. He has sooooo outdone many greater-known singers. I know that I will be singing his praises for some time to come.
We sing, we dance...
Music easy to listen anywere, alone or with company. It lifts the soul, makes you want to dance and feel good. Just great*******

Fleet Foxes
Reviews : Beautiful
Beautiful haunting songs from an Appalachia in some alternate universe. I've been listening to this for a few weeks now and it's still growing on me.
Spiritual Connection to the Earth
This is one of the most original albums I've heard over the last several years. Earthy folk ballads suffused with choir sound gives this album an Edenic feel. Many tracks sound like lush soundtracks accompanying a sojourn through green shimmering glades. But this music is not precious. It's earthy and feels authentic and never pretentious.
I don't read a lot of music reviews, but I have to assume Fleet Foxes have been compared to a band with a similar sensibility and sound--My Morning Jacket.
Those who like the Fleet Foxes might look to these bands: Rosebuds, Midlake, Marjorie Fair, and the Innocence Mission.

Only by the Night
Reviews : Better than the first few albums!
I have been listening to this album a lot, and I can't get the songs out of my head. I think this surpasses their first few albums by leaps and bounds. If you kind of liked there previous albums give this one a listen, and you will be as hooked as I am.
Strong Material
Very good release by a hot young band of brothers. The obvious hit "Sex On Fire", is excellent, and the rest of the material stands the test. I recommend this.

Raising Sand
Reviews : Really a great record
This really is a great record. Like another reviewer said, it gets better with every listen. Great albums are usually like that, the more you play them the better they get.
This bluesy, twangy, folksy, swampy.......all in the right places. The production enhances the music too instead of getting in the way of it. The backing band are seriously good musicians as well. T Bone Burnett deserves a lot of credit for shaping this record.
Kudos to Robert Plant for turning down the Zeppelin reunion and touring with Alison Krauss instead. If anyone has heard live recordings of this tour then you'll understand my statement.
I only hope they issue a live album of that tour in time.
This is a truly great album on all levels. Make the purchase if you're on the fence.
great
