Carbon-11 or 11C is a radioactive isotope of carbon. It decays 100% by positron emission to Boron-11. It has a half-life of 20.38 min.

C  →  B  e+  νe  0.45  MeV

Carbon-11 is very much used as a radioisotope to radioactive labeling of molecules in positron emission tomography. Among the many molecules used in this context is the radioligand [11C]DASB.
